As some of you already know, I was the guest judge on the 5MinuteFiction (5MF) Contest last week, which is hosted by our amazing fellow writer, Leah Petersen on her blog. “Why is this called 5MF?” you might wonder. Because you have to write a nice little piece of fiction in five minutes. Crazy people that we are!
So. After I had a blast reading last week’s entries, Leah asked me if I wanted to host this FUN contest here, on my blog on Tuesday, March 15th. Obviously, I said I’d LOVE to. And I’ve got more good news. 5MF is going to be on tour all March!
Here’s the schedule: (Edited)
March 15: Monica BW: http://www.monibw.blogspot.com/
March 29: Robert James Russell: http://www.robertjamesrussell. com/
April 5: Sam Adamson: http://future-nostalgic. blogspot.com/

The guest judge on March 15th will be my dear friend, Shelley Waters, who is represented by Mark McVeigh of the McVeigh Agency. You can check her blog here, and find her on Twitter here. (She is fabulous, btw!)
What’s the prize? Well, nothing, obviously. =D

But we’ll all agree to tweet and/or blog about the winners so their fames and fortunes will be assured.
So, guys, I’d love to see you around! And the more participants the more FUN we’ll have, right? Stay tuned for details!
Hugs!
Sounds very cool! I'll be here!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! I'll be there to read, even if I don't get up the nerve to participate.
ReplyDeleteHey girl, I feel like I haven't talked to you in a while. It's so neat that you did this!
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn! YAY! I'd love to see you here! :D
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! We'll read together, then! Woot!
Kelsey! Hey! Yeah, time goes by so fast! But it was great seeing you here! <333 Thx for stopping by!
Oh that sounds like fun! But how do we obsessively edit a story in only five minutes? Or is that the point? LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI may have to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a blast! Count me in.
ReplyDeleteJulie! Thanks for making me laugh. :D
ReplyDeleteCarrie, YAY, I'm glad you liked the idea.
Kaylee and Heather! AWESOME!!! I'd love to have you here that day :D We'll have FUN!
Clever idea! Now if I can only remember...
ReplyDeleteI'll mark my calendar - that's the only way I remember these things.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I'll have to stretch out my fingers and see what I can write in five minutes. I'm sure this will not be my strength. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no, I have something planned for that day, but if things don't work out then I'll be here!
ReplyDeleteHey Kristin! I'll remind you guys the Monday before the contest on this blog, and on Twitter the same day, too. :D
ReplyDeletePatti! YAY! I'm so happy I'll see you around that day!
Kasie, thanks for willing to stretch your fingers! :D
Melissa, no worries! But if on the last minute you can join us, I'd love it if you do! :D
I'm new to your blog (and the blogging community all around) but I wanted to say that although I may chicken out on the contest, this is an awesome way to "practice" writing without editing like my livelihood depends on it! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Maria, thanks for stopping by and nice to meet you! And welcome to the blogging community, too!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't chicken out! :D
See you around!
Good luck! I could never write fiction in five minutes. Just the though of it and I'd freeze. ;)
