Kai!!!
Congrats! Email coming soon ;)
Some days ago, my friend Leah Petersen said she had some brand new YA books that she wanted to give away. And she thought of LOVE YA!!! She knew that it’s difficult for me to do giveaways since I live in Chile, so she said, take them for your blog and your YA followers!
Isn’t she sweet?
Okay, so the third and last book in this giveaway is:
To participate, you just have to do two things:
1) Spread the word (it doesn’t matter if it’s via Twitter, Facebook, or by putting a link on your blog—whatever you think is better.)
2) Leave a comment below and put your email so that if you win, I can contact you. (U.S. only.)
That’s it. You don’t need to be a follower—but of course, I’d love it if you are. ;)
I’ll choose a random winner by Friday!
AND one last announcement!
Deana Barnhart is having this AMAZING blogfest in July. And, among other things, you'll get the chance to win an agent critique OR one 10-page crit from yours truly. For more details, visit her blog!

ReplyDeleteMonica, do you have a brief blurb on LOSING FAITH? I must admit, I don't think I've heard of it. What's it about?

ReplyDeleteHey everyone!! :D Thanks for stopping by, even if you aren't participating! <3 Monica
ReplyDeleteSo Krista, here's one blurb that I got from Amazon:
Faith was the good sister: perfect voice, devout Christian. When she dies in a mysterious fall from a cliff, her irreligious sister, Brie, and their parents are left to cope—or not—with the devastation. This thoughtful first novel explores early grief and shows how it can tear at the structure of a family that cannot mourn together. Brie's parents pull apart, into their own self-contained worlds of anguish. But Brie does not want to mourn alone; she feels angry, guilty, and confused, and she wants answers. She stumbles through her days at school, observing her pariah status with former friends and everyone except the rebel Tessa and a mysterious homeschooled boy, both of whom know loss and grief firsthand. The more questions Brie and Tessa ask about Faith's death, the more they are stonewalled by those who knew her well, and the more they suspect that her death wasn't an accident. Once Brie uncovers the breakaway Christian study group that her sister belonged to, the story becomes a mystery thriller. It wraps up neatly, but not before readers are taken on a ride through a secret world of religious zeal gone haywire. The fault lies not in the religion—an earnest Christianity—but in the fanaticism that can happen when people follow a charismatic leader with a personality disorder. With pitch-perfect portrayals of high school social life and a nuanced view into a variety of Christian experiences of faith, this first novel gives readers much to think about.
Thanks for the blurb, Monica. It sounds interesting - and different than what I would have expected, which is good. Don't count me in the giveaway, since I didn't spread the word, but I'll have to see if our library has this one...
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Kai! And yay for more giveaways!! :) I've heard a lot of great things about this book!
